Shipping Policy
Welcome to 3D Print NZ. We strive to deliver your 3D prints, filaments, and accessories safely and quickly across Aotearoa. Please review our shipping terms, timeframes, and policies below.
1. Processing & Dispatch Times
- In-Stock Items: Orders for in-stock items (filaments, parts, accessories) placed before 2:00 PM Monday–Friday are dispatched the same day.
- Custom 3D Printing Services: Print-on-demand items require production time. Your estimated production window will be communicated during checkout or via email. These items ship immediately upon completion.
- Weekends & Holidays: We do not process or dispatch orders on weekends or New Zealand public holidays. [1, 2]
2. Shipping Rates & Delivery Timeframes
We use reliable, fully tracked courier services for all domestic shipments.

Note: Heavy or bulky items (such as bulk 3D printer orders or large filament shipments over 5kg) may incur additional heavy freight charges calculated at checkout. [5]
3. Island Exclusions & Surcharges
Deliveries to off-shore islands (including Waiheke Island, Great Barrier Island, and the Chatham Islands) incur a flat $25.00 shipping fee and may take up to 5–7 business days.
4. Tracking Your Order
Once your order is packed and ready for the courier, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing a live tracking link. Please allow up to 12 hours for the tracking status to update on the courier's website.
5. Delivery Instructions & Authority to Leave (ATL)
- Default Delivery: All standard shipments are sent with Authority to Leave (ATL). The courier will leave the package in a safe, weatherproof location if you are not home.
- Signature Required: If you require a signature upon delivery (recommended for high-value hardware or custom prints), please select the "Signature Required" option at checkout for an additional $2.50.
- PO Boxes: We cannot deliver to PO Boxes or Private Bags. Please provide a physical residential or business address. [6, 7, 8, 9]
6. Damaged, Lost, or Delayed Shipments
We package our filaments and custom prints with extreme care to prevent moisture and transit damage. However, if an issue occurs:
- Damaged Items: If your items arrive damaged, you must take photos of the packaging and goods and contact us at [Insert Email Address] within 48 hours of delivery.
- Lost Parcels: If your tracking link shows no movement for more than 5 business days past the estimated delivery window, please notify us immediately so we can launch an inquiry with the courier.
- Consumer Guarantees Act: All shipments are fully covered in compliance with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act. If your item is lost or broken in transit before it reaches your address, we will arrange a replacement or full refund.
